It is very obvious that each bird requires different type of care as per its age, species and variety. Although, there are few things that can commonly apply for all kinds of bird pets. Here is the guide that will help you to take care of your beloved pet in better way;
At first, bring a bird that is healthy and is not infected unless you have much idea to deal with those health problems. Healthy birds have clean and shiny feathers, good appetite, and bright eyes, and are friendly and curious. Sick birds may normally appear inactive, unresponsive and tired. Their body seems fluffy and ruffled. If a bird sits at the cages bottom, not on the perch, it shows that bird is seriously ill. You can take help from a local welfare organization to treat the bird if you want to keep that bird with you. A bird always need gentle care from you, whether sick or healthy. Remember you are going to take care of a living creature, not decorating your home.
Take your bird to vet immediately if you observe bird changing its behaviour. It will help your vet to know what are the things your pet like about and that will help you to build good relation with it. The birds housing should be of appropriate size and perch should be made from soft and natural branches. Do not let your bird using pine bedding, cedar, and walnut shell bedding, as these can be unhealthy for your bird. With taking care of their cleanliness and right food, do not forget to socialize with your bird daily.
